The United Arab Emirates (UAE) recognizes the urgency of the climate crisis. Given its unique geographicand climatic conditions, the nation faces significant vulnerabilities to climate change, including risingtemperatures and sea levels, increased humidity, water scarcity, and a greater frequency of more extremeweather events. The UAE has also seen extensive impacts from climate change globally, from destructivestorms to drought-induced food insecurity and displacement. At the same time, the UAE recognizes thepotential socio-economic benefits of climate action, such as job creation, improved human health, andeconomic diversification.
